Our cultural dancers perform traditional ceremonial dances from the Noongar people that have been passed down from generation to generation. These dances are performed during ceremony where dancers spiritually connect to their country and ancestors in moving and meaningful motions to provide specific things such as cleansing, storytelling or celebration.
Our dancers also enjoy interactive dance performances and celebrating culture with the wider community. During interactive performances, our cultural facilitators explain each dance and it's significance while also encouraging audience members to participate.
Our Ngalak Nidja dancers are always accompanied by a didgeridoo player who will provide the traditional songs and music for the traditional dances.
Traditional dance is a beautiful way to celebrate events and can be a great way to celebrate culture. Contact us to book traditional dance today.
Ngalak Nidja acknowledges and pays respect to the Wadjak people of the Noongar nation and to their Elders of the past and present as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we live and work.
We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to their lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to them, their cultures and to their Elders both past and present.
