A smoking ceremony is a traditional cleansing ceremony that is often used alongside a Welcome to Country or to bring good spirits and energy to a place or people.
In this ancient ceremony, native plants are used to create a sacred smoke that has cleansing properties among other uses.
Ngalak Nidja offer smoking ceremonies upon request, all details will be provided to our cultural facilitators who will determine appropriateness and suitability in line with cultural protocols before booking confirmation will be made. In addition to our cultural knowledge and expertise, we also hold current Total Fire Ban permits and comply with DFES for safe fire use.
Ngalak Nidja acknowledges and pays respect to the Wadjak people of the Noongar nation and to their Elders of the past and present as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which we live and work.
We also acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to their lands, waters and communities. We pay our respects to them, their cultures and to their Elders both past and present.
